Matthias's Page

 

This is Matthias and his mother and dad, Regina and Wolfgang. He also has an older sister who lives in another town in Germany. Somebody else took this picture, but someday soon, I hope to replace it with one of my own.

 

Matthias is sitting my office, probably waiting to mess up some of our computers. Actually, during the time he lived with me, he was a great help in keeping our computer network operating. Without him, I would have had major problems. But enough of this nice stuff. I don’t want him to get big-headed.

 

Looks rather skinny, doesn’t he? I hope he has gained a little bit of weight since he has been here. If not, I am certainly willing to give him a little of mine. Or maybe it is just the short haircut. Notice, too, that he was a K.U. fan from the time he first arrived here.

 

Here is in his “formal” senior class picture. And, for Valley Falls High School, I suppose this could easily pass for a formal picture. He did rent a tuxedo for the Junior-Senior Prom, though. Actually, I like him better in this kind of formal clothing, though.

 

Now we know why this kid is so smart! Here he is visiting the campus of the University of Kansas, the Harvard of the Midwest. And this probably accounts not only for his intelligence, but also for his good taste and high class.

 

Like all good Jayhawk fans, he just couldn’t get enough of the KU campus. Here is another beautiful spring time picture of the KU campus. And, of course, an equally beautiful Matthias. Probably the only thing that spoils this picture is the purple flowers in the background.

 

Do we have another Einstein here? Who knows? After all, he is German. Here is Matthias working out some complicated trigonometry problem----probably for the benefit of the camera. But don’t be surprised if he becomes another famous German mathematician.
