A few years ago, this was the largest building project in Europe. Potsdamer Platz was formerly the “center” of Berlin, but after the Wall was built, it fell into a sort of no man’s land and remained vacant until the Wall was torn down. Now it is the center of modern architecture, Berlin’s version of skyscrapers, and a myriad of shopping, entertainment, corporate offices, and leisure time venues.
