New National Gallery
True to its outward form, this sleek, modernistic building houses an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art. Along with its own extensive collection, it is a venue to many temporary exhibitions from important art collections around the world. The building is located along Potsdamer Str., adjacent to the Berlin Philharmonic and across the street from Potadamer Platz. The gallery is located underground, and it is much larger than the above-ground glass entry way would suggest. Also on the grounds one can find an interesting colletion of sculptures.
