Humboldt University is the largest and oldest university in the city of Berlin. Although the “campus” is widely distributed around the city, the main, historic buildings are concentrated along Unter den Linden. In front of the main building is a statue of the founders of the university. Also on the sidewalk in front of the main building is a constant used book market.
