Maybe this is the first shopping center in modern, post-War Berlin. I would have to check on that to make sure. But, nevertheless, it one of the “places to be” in Berlin. The shopping center itself, located next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, is thriving with dozens of shops, restaurants, bars, movie theaters, and other sundry businesses. One of the main attractions inside the shopping center is the “Water Clock”, which is an object of fascination for many people. Outside the complex is the Chinese Fountain….and a wide assortment of weirdos and street entertainment.
